Former vice president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has reacted to the death of eleven soldiers killed by bandits in Kaduna.
The soldiers, who were killed by bandits along Brinin Gwari road on 20th March, 2018, were on Thursday buried.
Speaking at the interfaith burial service, the General Officer Commanding, One Mechanise Division, Nigerian Army, Major-General Mohammed Mohammed said in spite of challenges, the Army is still poised to defend the territorial integrity of the country.
Reacting to the killing of the soldiers, Atiku, on his Twitter page, urged Nigerians to pray for the families of fallen soldiers who risked their lives for the safety of citizens.
The ex-vice president wrote, “These soldiers took the bullet and paid the ultimate sacrifice for our safety and the unity of our country.
“Spare a thought and prayers for their families and friends.”
