Atiku speaks on Boko Haram bombing in Konduga, Borno

Former vice-president of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, has sent his condolences to families affected in the suicide bombing, that took place in Meshimari village in Konduga, Borno state.

Writing on his Twitter page, Atiku prayed for the souls of the departed and commended the officers of the Nigerian Military.

“With a very heavy heart, I offer my condolences to the families of the victims of the suicide bombing in Meshimari village in Konduga, Borno.

“May Almighty Allah grant the victims al-jannah firdaus and give their survivors the fortitude to bear their loss.

“I commend the gallant men and women of the Nigerian military, who have been our line of defence against terror,” he wrote.

A statement from the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Victor Isuku, confirming the incident, read: “Today at about 1050hrs, two males and a female suicide bomber, carried out coordinated suicide bomb attacks at different locations in Mashemari village in Konduga LGA.”
