Atiku, Shehu Sani react to recent killings in Sokoto

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has condemned the recent attack in Gandi, Rabah Local Government Area of Sokoto State.

DAILY POST reported that scores of Nigerians were killed after bandits attacked villages around Gandi in Rabah Local Government of Sokoto State.

Atiku, reacting said the killings of Nigerians show that Nigeria’s internal security is broken.

“I’m saddened at reports of killings in Gandi, Rabah Local Government Area of Sokoto State.

“With thousands killed while our country is not at war, it clearly shows Nigeria’s internal security architecture is broken and needs a reset.” He tweeted.

Also reacting, Shehu Sani, the Senator representing Kaduna Central condemning the attack, urging security agencies to bring perpetrators to book.

He wrote, “The attacks and massacre in Sokoto state stand condemned. Everything should be done to bring the perpetrators of that heinous act to book.

“My deepest condolences to the families of the deceased.”
