The former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has condemned the recent bomb attack in Borno mosque.

DAILY POST reported that a male suicide bomber on Monday killed some worshipers during morning prayer at a mosque in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno state.

The Borno State Police Commissioner, Damian Chukwu, on Monday confirmed that eight worshippers were killed after the attack in the early hours of Monday.

Reacting to the sad development, Atiku urged residents to protect themselves.

On his Twitter page, he wrote “Saddened by report of fatal suicide attack at a mosque in Mainari area of Konduga, Borno. May God comfort families of the deceased.

“It is important that our people be encouraged to organise themselves so that some persons can keep watch while others pray.”
