The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has reacted to the trip of its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar to the United States, US.
The former Vice President’s visit was against the belief that he had been barred from the US due to corruption charges.
The APC-led Federal Government had claimed that the Wazirin Adamawa would never be able to enter the US over money laundering allegations hanging on his neck.
Spokesperson of the President Muhammadu Buhari campaign organisation, Festus Keyamo had recently claimed that Abubakar can’t visit the United States, US, due to corruption charges.
Contrary to Keyamo’s allegation, Abubakar and the Senate President, Bukola Saraki had last night arrived in the Washington DC.
The Senior lawyer had said: ”Rather than respect the feelings of Nigerians by offering clear-cut responses to straight-forward allegations of tax-evasion, grand corruption in and out of office, impending sealed indictment waiting for him in the US, Atiku Abubakar has decided to drag the world down with him as he goes down in a blaze of infamy. He has decided to go wild with wild, unsubstantiated allegations against the President and Vice President.”
also reacting to Abubakar’s trip, PDP’s spokesperson, Kola Ologbondiyan described the development as “technical knock out.”
In a tweet, Ologbondiyan wrote: “Our incoming president @atiku landed in the U.S
“Technical knock out to the rumor mongers and merchants of half truths by the grace of God.”
