Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, says they are still waiting to hear from government
Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo was on Wednesday announced as head of the Federal Government negotiation team with the striking lecturers.
Giving an update on the industrial action, ASUU president, Abiodun Ogunyeni, said the union was yet to be briefed on the take over of the government team by Osinbajo.
“Nobody has told us. I am just hearing from you now. Until we hear from them that we’ll know what to say” he told Vanguard.
“We are waiting for them to call a meeting and when they do, we will go.
“We will attend in as much as it doesn’t fall within the holiday”, Ogunyemi added.
