An Assistant Commissioner of police serving in Zamfara State, Mr Emmanuel Adeniyi, has been reportedly kidnapped by unknown gunmen.
Mr Emmanuel who is attached to the state police command in charge of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) was kidnapped yesterday while driving along Dandume/Birnin Gwari road on his way back to Gusau the capital of Zamfara State.
According to New Telegraph, a principal officer who requested to remain anonymous said the gunmen were yet to demand any ransom.
The Zamfara state commissioner of police Mr Shaba Alkali, while confirming the incident said the incident happened within Kaduna area.
According to him he was still waiting for authentic details concerning the issue.
