Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan, has arrived at the Shanghai Pudong International Airport in China, ahead of his incredible move to Shanghai SIPG.
The 29-year-old striker is set to pen a deal worth £227,000-a-week- making him the 8th best-paid footballer in the world.
Gyan was already earning £160,000 with Qatari side Al Ain and has thanked the club and its fans.
“I want to really thank the entire Al Ain club and its fans for the support they have me in my time here,” Gyan told Al Ain’s official website.
“At Al Ain we were able to achieve a lot of things and I tell you this club will remain in my heart forever.
“It is, however, time to embrace a new challenge and hopefully this new challenge will be as successful or even better than my time here at Al Ain.”
Gyan’s new team is managed by former England manager Sven Goran-Eriksson.
