Arthur Eze calls Nigerian politicians greedy, criminals

Businessman cum politician, Prince Arthur Eze, Saturday, described Nigerian politicians as criminals and greedy human beings.

Speaking at the South- East Widows Empowerment Programme organized by 4J-2015, held at the Alex Ekwueme Square Awka, Prince Eze who is the founder of 4J and convener of the programme, in conjunction with Dame Jonathan’s Women for Change and Development Initiative, said most Nigerian politicians do not care about the plight of the populace, especially the less privileged and widows.

He said, “I am happy that this thing is happening while I am still alive. It is Dame Jonathan that asked us to gather together all of the widows in the South-East, who have been suffering since the defunct Biafran Republic and civil war in Nigeria.

“She is concerned about your sufferings and has promised to assist you with empowerment items. She has also promised to build industries for you, where you will work and earn a living. I am doing this because our politicians do not care, they are criminals, and they are greedy.

“But President Jonathan is not like that, he is humane and listens to the cries of Nigerians and has been working hard to ameliorate their sufferings. With what our Mama Peace is helping us to do, your tears will be wiped away.”

He noted that President Jonathan was being pursued all about for no just cause, adding that Boko Haram was also fighting him because of the Igbo, but assured the President that Ndigbo were solidly behind him and would give him 100 per cent votes.

In her speech, Dame Jonathan emphasized the need for Nigerians to love themselves and to give peace a chance, stressing that all the development people craved for would not be achieved in the midst of violence.

Preaching love for women who have lost their husbands, she said: “If you see a widow, show her love, care for her and her children and do not add to her pains. Love yourselves and share what you have with others. Umuada should stop traditions that maltreat widows and be peacemakers. Women, let us show ourselves love”.
