Arsenal youngster Chuba Akpom, might not pull on the colours of Nigeria just yet, according to latest developments.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), last week announced the 19-year-old striker was one of the three players that have agreed to switch nationalities and play for the national team.
However, the player’s representative, Emeka Obasi, has confirmed that no decision has been taken yet.
“Yes, there has been contact with Chuba, but he has not made that decision yet,” Obasi told ColinUdoh.com.
“Just to Clarify, Chuba is grateful for the interest. He is proud of his Nigerian heritage and has not ruled out playing for Nigeria in the future.
“However at this moment in time Chuba’s priority is to break into the team at Arsenal and he is enjoying playing for England.”
