Real Madrid boss, Zinedine Zidane has provided an update on Marco Asensio’s injury.
Asensio was injured after netting the equalizer in their friendly game against Arsenal on Tuesday.
Asensio equalized for Real Madrid before having to retire for what could be a very serious injury.
Real Madrid went on to beat Arsenal on penalties after the full time ended 2-2.
Alexandra Lacazette put Arsenal ahead and Aubameyang made it 2-0 within 23 minutes for the Premier League side.
However, goals from Gareth Bale and Asensio ensured the match ended in shootouts with Unai Emery’s men losing 2-3 on penalties.
Asensio may have ruptured his ACL and was in tears and left the stadium in an ambulance.
Zidane told reporters, “We hope Asensio’s injury is not serious. We are all worried for him. It’s his knee. He went straight to the hospital. It looks bad.”
