Arsenal and Liverpool kicked off the festive season fixtures, with a thrilling 3-3 draw at the Emirates Stadium on Friday evening.
The Gunners were seeking revenge, after they suffered a 4-0 humiliation at Anfield in the reverse fixture. But it appeared the visitors were in the mood to reproduce that performance.
Philippe Coutinho headed the Reds in front in the first half, but Jurgen Klopp’s men wasted chances to extend their lead before the break.
Mohamed Salah made it 2-0, but Arsenal responded with an incredible comeback, scoring three goals within five minutes.
Alexis Sanchez headed in the first, Granit Xhaka fired in the equalizer and Mesut Ozil finished off a lovely team move for the third.
However, Petr Cech was unable to keep Roberto Firmino’s shot out, as both sides shared the points.
