Arsenal will speak to Thierry Henry about their vacant managerial position, before confirming the successor to Arsene Wenger, the UK Mail reports.
Mikel Arteta remains the preferred candidate of chief executive Ivan Gazidis and director Josh Kroenke and it is likely that he will be appointed as Wenger’s replacement.
However, it is understood that there are also plans to talk to Henry early next week, as the club complete what has been a thorough recruitment process.
The Gunners hierarchy has spoken to former midfielder, Patrick Vieira and also want to listen to Henry, before formally announcing the identity of the new man.
Henry is currently the assistant boss of Belgium and also works for Sky Sports as a pundit.
The 40-year-old has no managerial experience, but has stated previously he would like to manage his old club.
