Arsenal are ready to offer manager Arsene Wenger a new deal and the Premier League club, has opened talks with the Frenchman.
The discussions are still in the preliminary stage, but the club have told Wenger in clear terms that they want him to say. According to reports, the feedback from the former Monaco boss is encouraging.
It is however believed that nothing will be decided in the next month, especially as the 62-year-old works on bringing in big summer targets in the transfer window, while preparing the players for the new season.
Although Wenger has gone eight years without winning silverware, the board will hand him a fresh three-year deal, especially as Paris Saint-Germain continue to circle around. Wenger’s current deal runs out in 2014.
