Super Eagles playmaker, Alex Iwobi has said that he has no plans of inheriting Captain John Obi Mikel’s number 10 jersey in the national team.
The Arsenal star noted that his focus was to keep doing his best in the Super Eagles regardless of the jersey number.
The 23-year-old stated this ahead of Nigeria’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, third-place clash against Tunisia on Wednesday night.
“I think I’ve done ok for my first #AFCON but I hope I can end on a good note. Our team is young and I believe the future is bright,” Iwobi told Busybuddies.
“I have not thought about inheriting Mikel’s NO.10 jersey my focus is on doing my best regardless of jersey number.”
