Suarez
Arsenal have been encouraged to increase their bid for Luis Suarez to £40million, after the striker’s agents informed potential suitors that an offer around that price, will activate his release clause.
Although Liverpool have insisted several times that they will not sell the 26-year-old, if a club puts forward a bid for £40million, they will be forced to inform the striker and his representatives. The only bid the Anfield club have received is a £35million bid from the Gunners and managing director Ian Ayre confirmed that it was rejected.
According to reports, the Uruguay international is now Arsene Wenger’s first choice, after a move for Real Madrid’s Gonzalo Higuain stalled, with the La Liga side demanding £25.5million.
