Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger, could miss their title showdown with Chelsea, as the FA is set to hand him a lengthy stadium ban.

“Arsene Wenger has been charged for misconduct following Arsenal’s game against Burnley on Sunday [22 January 2017],” an FA statement read.

“It is alleged that in or around the 92nd minute, he used abusive and/or insulting words towards the fourth official.

“It is further alleged that following his dismissal from the technical area, his behaviour in remaining in the tunnel area and making physical contact with the fourth official amounted to improper conduct.

“He has until 6pm on 26 January 2017 to respond to the charge.”

According to the UK Mirror, the FA chiefs are determined to take a tough stand against the Frenchman, because he pushed fourth official Anthony Taylor.

Wenger will likely get a big punishment, because he “made physical contact” with an official. This might see him get a full stadium ban, rather than a touchline suspension.

The ban could be as much as three games or more, which would see Wenger miss Saturday’s FA Cup tie at Southampton, the league game against Watford and the trip to leaders Chelsea on February 4.
