Newcastle United striker, Demba Ba, has said he fancies a move to Arsenal, when the January transfer window opens.

The Senegalese, has a £7.5 million release clause in his contract and has suggested Arsene Wenger could buy it out, to solve his striking crisis.

“I have nothing to say about those speculations [with Arsenal]. Nothing has happened,” He told Canal+.

“The media know Arsenal need another striker and they know about my release clause. They need to make their own mind up about it.

“Arsenal are one of those teams who makes you dream.”

The Gunners have endured a difficult season so far, after trying to adapt to life after Robin van Persie, who is now with Manchester United.

Gervinho will be off the Nations Cup, while Chamakh is set to exit the club. Other January targets include: £15m-rated Spain striker Adrian Lopez and Schalke’s Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.
