Arsenal defeat Wolfsburg to win 2015 Emirates Cup

Arsenal have won the Emirates Cup for the first time since 2010, after beating Wolfsburg 1-0 on Sunday.

The Gunners struggled to break down the Bundesliga team, who proved to be superior opponents to Lyon, who they whitewashed 6-0 on the opening day.

However, the breakthrough came in the second half, after Jeff Rene-Adelaide burst through and fed Theo Walcott, who poked home the winner.

Arsene Wenger’s men finished the pre-season tournament with 13 points – 6 points from wins and 7 from goals scored. That’s a record in the trophy’s 8-year history.
