Arsenal chairman, Sir Chips Keswick, has admitted their season has “become rather disappointing.”
The Gunners were eliminated from the Champions League last 16 by Bayern Munich after a 10-2 aggregate loss. It was the seventh successive season Arsene Wenger failed to qualify for the quarter-final.
In the Premier League, they currently occupy sixth place and are in a battle to qualify for the Champions League next season.
The only chance of silverware, is in the FA Cup where they face Manchester City in the semi-final next month.
Asked how the season has gone, Keswick said: “It started well, but it’s become rather disappointing.”
Asked if Wenger was the right man for the job, he replied: “I am not answering that.”
