The Nigerian Army has arrested some Boko Haram members in Lagos.

This was disclosed to newsmen on Monday by the General Officer Commanding 81 Division, Major General Isidore Edet shortly after decorating 12 newly promoted officers attached to the Division.

The GOC noted that the arrested Boko Haram members were among those fleeing the volatile region of Borno, Adamawa and Yobe States to the Southern part of the country to continue their nefarious activities.

Edet stated that the Nigerian Army would not relent in ensuring the safety of lives and property within Lagos and Ogun States.

According to Edet, “investigations had commenced into the activities of each Boko Haram member and they are being interrogated so as to fish out other members of the group.”
