The National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Olisa Metuh has just arrived the Federal High Court Abuja for continuation of his trial, and still in handcuffs.
Metuh is being arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on a seven count charge bordering on money laundry.
EFCC is alleging that he received the sum of N400m from the former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki(rtd), money which it claims was part of the $2.1bn meant for the purchase of arms.
The prosecution has so far produced four witnesses who had given their various testimonies against the embattled PDP spokesmen of how money running into millions of naira were received and transferred to Destra Investment, a company Metuh allegedly has stake in.
On Wednesday, the fourth prosecuting witness explained to the court how Dasuki paid into Metuh’s company account the sum of N400m.
The trials continues today with the prosecution presenting more witnesses.
Metuh had severally been brought to court in handcuffs. Details later……
