Super Eagles attacking midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebo has shared his thoughts on Tuesday evening’s international friendly between Nigeria and Argentina.
Etebo said Eagles will not take their feet off the pedal as the game will help the team prepare adequately for next summer’s World Cup in Russia.
Nigeria sealed qualification for the World Cup with a game to spare.
The CD Feirense number ten contributed to the team’s success by playing half of the matches.
”First of all I want to thank God for the qualification for the World Cup in Russia coming up next year,” Etebo told Super Eagles official Twitter handle.
”About today’s game, I know it is a very important game because every team have to start preparing for the World Cup.
”You are not going to go the World Cup and mess up yourself because Argentina is also a big team; they have top players.
”We shouldn’t look at it as if it’s just an ordinary friendly game. If you want to play well in the World Cup, preparations have to start from now.”
