Commissioner for Finance in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji on Thursday disclosed that the administration of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has developed the state’s infrastructure through huge debt incurred.
He, however, stated that the governor still remain a prudent administrator despite the alleged high profile debt, arguing that the state has been transformed irrespective of paucity of resources.
Oyebamiji, who was at the NUJ Correspondents’ chapel in Osogbo, to interact with journalists insisted that all projects in the state were masses-oriented.
He said that the alleged high profile debt of the state has been justified by array of commendations Osun has received from the “international community”.
Oyebamiji assured that the state is working assiduously to develop the age-long dormant sector – the mining sector.
He revealed that the state has secured 16 mining licenses in different states across Nigeria, while working to discover the exact amount of mineral deposits through Aeromagnetic Survey.
