The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) on Tuesday removed Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State as its Board of Trustees Chairman (BoT).
The party also removed late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu’s wife, Bianca as a member, alongside others.
The decisions were taken on Tuesday in Awka during the party’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting, which followed the expiration of the four-year term of the members of the BOT.
The National Secretary of APGA, Labaran Maku speaking to newsmen on Tuesday after the meeting disclosed that new BOT members to replace Obiano and Ojukwu were to be nominated ahead of its National Convention for ratification.
According to him, “The party has picked May 31 as for its National convention at the Prof Dora Akunyili women development centre in Awka, Anambra state
“The Ward and Local Government Congresses of the party would hold on the 19th and 21st of May, followed by the State and Zonal congresses on the 23rd of May.”
