The Plateau Chairman of All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, Dr Issa Arzuka-Jega, has said that merger of political parties that formed APC will take Nigeria nowhere, affirming that APGA is the only solution to Nigeria’s many problems.
The party chieftain told newsmen in Awka, Anambra State capital that those who formed APC were the same set of people who occupied different offices in the past without achieving any positive thing.
He said “The people championing the formation of APC were the same people who were former PDP members who did not have anything to show to Nigerians.
“If APC says it will take over PDP in 2015, I will say it has expired because APGA is the current drug that will heal Nigeria.
“Nigerians are tired of PDP as well as those behind APC. APGA is a mass movement and people will match with it to take over government in 2015,” the chairman stated.
Arzuka-Jega, while expressing confidence in the leadership of APGA in spite of its many headaches, said that the machinery put on ground to reconcile feuding members would yield positive result.
He added that the party was not willing to merge with other political parties, but stressed that it might form alliance to realise its goals at the 2015 general polls.
