National chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Victor Oye has extended hands of fellowship to all aggrieved members of the party, urging them to close ranks and cooperate with him so as to move APGA forward.
Oye thanked APGA members and teeming supporters across the country, particularly the Anambra state Governor, Willie Obiano for his tremendous support throughout the duration of the trial that culminated in the momentous victory at the Supreme Court on Friday.
The Supreme Court, had on Friday, affirmed Chief Victor Oye as the bona-fide National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.
The apex court, in a unanimous judgment by a five-man panel of Justices, dismissed an appeal that was lodged by a faction of the party that was led by Chief Martin Agbaso.
The APGA national chairman, in a statement posted on his official Facebook wall and seen by DAILY POST on Saturday, commended the judiciary for its courage and steadfastness in ensuring that Nigeria was not thrown into anarchy through what it described as “miscarriage of justice”.
The statement reads,”It is with a joyous heart that we thank God Almighty for his banner over us and for guiding and guarding us throughout the duration of the trial that culminated in the momentous victory at the Supreme Court a few hours ago.
“We thank our indomitable National Leader and governor of Anambra State, His Excellency Chief Dr. Willie Obiano for his exceptional support.
“Our gratitude goes to the National Working Committee, the Board of Trustees and other members of our great party at various levels for their untiring support and love.
“We convey immense thanks to the Nigerian judiciary for its fastidiousness, courage and steadfastness in ensuring that our nation is not thrown into anarchy through the miscarriage of justice.
“Finally, I thank my beloved wife and entire family for standing by me in difficult and turbulent times leading to this memorable victory.
“We extend our hands of fellowship to all those that feel aggrieved one way or another to close ranks with us and cooperate with us to move the party forward, especially now that the elections are near.”
