APGA advises Okorocha to forget clinching South-East for APC in 2019

The All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, has dismissed a recent statement credited to the Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha that the All progressives Congress, APC, would take over the South East in the 2019 general elections, saying the boast is laughable.

The party’s Board of Trustees, BoT, member in Anambra State, Chief Rommy Ezeonwuka, who made this known, urged the Governor to focus on governing his state until 2019 when APGA would take over. He stressed that APGA remained the only party that has what it takes to catapult the region to the next level.

According to him, “It is only APGA that has been able to tackle the problems faced by Ndigbo. The party has not stopped in looking into challenges faced by the region, like insecurity, bad infrastructure, unattractive foreign investment, and so on.

”Anambra, which is the only APGA state, has buried its war heroes. The state has the best road network in the South East. Today Anambra, under Governor Willie Obiano is number one in the whole of South East.”

Ezeonwuka further warned those intending to defect from APGA to relinquish their position, insisting that the party was not one to be used solely for the realization of selfish interests of politicians.

The BoT member however commended Obiano for visiting the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari and assuring the incoming President that he would work with him to move the nation forward. He charged other governors in the South East to emulate the Anambra governor and give Buhari all the support to move the country forward.
