The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Osun, Senator Ademola Adeleke, says Governor Rauf Aregbesola, over the years, inflicted suffering on the people of the state.
The lawmaker appealed to the electorate to use the September 22 election to vote out the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Adeleke spoke in Osogbo on Tuesday at the commencement of his campaign for the governorship election.
Adeleke said his six-point-agenda was designed to bring succour to the people and make their lives better.
He said, “Osun people have suffered enough in the hands of the APC government and their cronies. I have a six-point-agenda and this agenda is designed to bring succour to the suffering masses.
“I have a vision of a state where our people can afford a decent living; a state where government workers work with pride and dignity and are paid regularly and promptly; a state where the opportunities to grow and thrive will be accessible to every son and daughter of Osun.”
Meanwhile, an Osun High Court in Osogbo has dismissed a suit challenging Adeleke’s candidature.
