Members of the All Progress Congress in the United Kingdom, APCUK, has mourned the death of its candidate in the inconclusive Kogi State governorship election, Prince Abubakar Audu.
Audu reportedly died on Sunday shortly after the electoral umpire, Independent National Electoral Commission declared the governorship election in the state inconclusive.
Reacting to the shocking news via its Twitter handle, “@APCUKingdom tweeted, “We extend our deepest sympathies to the family of Abubakar Audu. May His Soul be at peace with our Heavenly Father.
Prior to the sad development, Audu and two time governor of the state was leading his main contender and incumbent, Idris Wada with over 41,000 votes.
