APC reacts to PDP’s allegation of denial of access to Abuja rally ground

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has reacted to allegations by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, of denial of access to a rally ground in Abuja.

The ruling party, in a statement signed by APC spokesman, Mr Lanre Issa-Onilu on Saturday, said the ruling party did not deny PDP of Abuja venue for rally.

The terse statement read: “The APC does not own the Abuja venue so there is no way we could have denied them access to a place we don’t own and we don’t have control over

“If there is any truth to what the PDP has said, it is not APC and it is not our policy.”

The PDP had earlier accused the APC-led of being frustrated with the popularity of Atiku Abubakar hence denied it access to a venue in Abuja where the party’s campaign was scheduled to hold on Saturday, February 9.

Speaking at a press conference in Abuja on Saturday, Kola Ologbondiyan, PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, said the denial of the party access to the approved venue of its presidential campaign rally earlier billed for today in the Federal Capital Territory was an attempt to drag Atiku low.
