The Borno State Governor, Alhaji Kashim Shettima, has won the All Progressives Congress ticket for Borno Central Senatorial District.
Shettima polled 2,735 votes to beat his opponent, Alhaji Ali Wurge who scored 5 votes.
The Chairman of the APC Borno Central senatorial electoral committee, Ahmed Almaduzu, announced the result on Thursday.
Almaduzu said, ”Shettima scored a total of 2,735 while Alhaji Wurge had 5 votes.”
In his acceptance speech, Shettima thanked his co-contestant and all his supporters for the confidence reposed in him.
