APC picks Yahaya Bello for Kogi supplementary election

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has finally settled for Yahaya Bello as its candidate in the December 5 supplementary election in Kogi State.

Bello was on Monday picked by the APC to replace Abubakar Audu who died before the governorship election in Kogi State was concluded on November 21.

It would be recalled that Bello came second in the primary election, which produced the late Audu as APC’s flagbearer.

Meanwhile, James Faleke has kicked against the choice of Bello and threatened to drag the party to court.

The development sparked sharp violcence between supporters of Bello and Faleke with many injured and several vehicles destroyed.
