The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, Abubakar Audu is dead.
He died of undisclosed medical reasons shortly after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared the elections inconclusive.
A source contacted by DAILY POST in Kogi also confirmed the rumour.
“He is dead. My friends in APC just confirmed to me,” a Kogi-based reporter told our correspondent on phone.
His party, the APC, has confirmed.
Similarly, one of Audu’s sons told the media that his father has passed on.
Audu is from Ogbonicha-Alloma in Ofu Local Government Area of the state.
Prince Audu would be buried on Monday in Kogi according to Islamic rites.
