APC governorship primaries in Abia postponed

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia state has postponed its governorship primary election slated today, Sunday.

The primary election will now hold on Monday, 1st of October, 2018.

Briefing newsmen after a closed-door meeting of the party’s stakeholders and aspirants held at the Wonderland Event Centre in Umuahia on Sunday, an APC chieftain in the state, Senator Chris Adighije said, “Our meeting was fruitful. The governorship primary election has been shifted to Monday because of the committee.

“The committee members have not yet arrived. We are expecting them to arrive soon. You can see, today has almost ended”.

“So on Monday, I’m assuring you, we will have a transparent primary election.”
