APC fails to clear ex IG of Police, Abba for Senate, suspends Imo guber primary

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced that it has not cleared former Inspector-General of Police, Barr. Suleiman Abba to contest the Party’s Jigawa South Senatorial District primaries.

The National Working Committee announced this on Tuesday.

“Barr. Suleiman Abba’s name was erroneously included in the list of NWC cleared aspirants”, Yekini Nabena, National Publicity Secretary, in a statement made available to DAILY POST said.

The statement added that the NWC has postponed the Party’s Senate Primaries in the 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to Wednesday, October 3, 2018.

“The Imo State governorship primaries have also been suspended indefinitely”, it added.
