Chairman of the Benue State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), John Ngbede, has declared that the All Progressives Congress is dead in the state.
Ngbede made this comment when he officially received the Executive Chairman of Otukpo LGA, Hon. George Alli into the PDP at an elaborate ceremony at Ewulo ward a suburb of Otukpo.
In a statement issued through his media assistant, Hon Ejembi Ogwuche, he noted that with the dumping of the APC by the Chairman of Otukpo Local Government Area with several members of the APC, “nothing is left of the party in the area.”
Ngbede congratulated the decampees and assured them of full integration into the party
He also assured the decampees that the party will provide a level playing field for all members of the party for active participation in party activities, adding that the doors PDP were wide open for more people to join and the will be warmly received as the party is set to retain power in the state in 2019.
Ngbede said the PDP was the vanguard of the poor and will continue to provide good leadership and governance in the state.
