The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has revealed why the leadership of the party met Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso at the Presidential Villa yesterday.
DAILY POST reported yesterday that Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, Oshiomhole and others met with the President at the Villa yesterday. Senator Kwankwaso is among the aggrieved lawmakers believed to be planning their exit from the ruling party.
Speaking after the meeting, Oshiomhole, said, “Kwankwaso and the President are brothers. In fact, I used to see them as twin brothers because they have known each other for sixteen years.
Kwankwaso knows he has no problem with the APC or Mr. President. There’s nothing to be afraid of at all. He is a member of the party. He is not even thinking of leaving APC. He helped in founding APC.
“APC did not make him. He helped found APC. He was a governor when he joined the APC. He didn’t join APC because he was unemployed.
“People like Kwankwaso who has integrity, they can’t see themselves returning to a place they consciously left.
“So I have a lot of respect for him and he also has a lot of respect for Mr. President which he had always reaffirms whether in public or private conversation. We just leave it like that. Its well.”
