APC crisis: PDP will end reign of tyranny in Nigeria – Agbo

The Deputy National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Dr. Emmanuel Agbo has reacted to the decision of the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, Governor of Kwara State Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, and the Nigerian Ambassador to South Africa, Alhaji Ahmed Ibeto to dump the All Progressive Congress (APC).

Dr. Agbo while reacting said, “I salute the courage of the President of the Nigerian Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki, the executive governor of Kwara State, His Excellency Abdulfatah Ahmed, and the Nigerian Ambassador to South Africa, Alhaji Ahmed Ibeto who have denied themselves the juicy carrots of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to stay on the side of the people.

“I also congratulate the honourable members of the Kwara State House of Assembly and the Chairmen of local government across Kwara State who have made sacrifices to join this train for the emancipation of Nigerians from this government that largely has impoverished the people.

“These great men and women of high pedigree have shown patriotism and total commitment to the advancement of an egalitarian society, to sustain this hard earned democracy as we work collectively to liberate the masses from senseless violence, bloodletting and oppression.

“President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC factional chairman, Adams Oshiomhole should refrain from constituting themselves as clog in the wheel of progress. The harassment of people based on their choices of political party affiliation is totally inimical to the process of deepening democracy.

“As the commendable first move by Benue State governor, Dr. Samuel Ortom to dump the sinking APC ship is followed by the Senate President and the governor of Kwara State, I encourage well-meaning Nigerians across all works of life to take that bold step to join this rescue mission.

“The time calls for sacrifice and patriotism on all well meaning Nigerians. In the face of this tyrannical government, any form of silence is accomplice and cowardice. I urge us all to stand up to the defence of our democracy and the people,” he concluded.
