The All Progressives Congress (APC) has disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari and the new Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP) bloc in the APC will hold talks on “specific demands” on Monday.
APC Deputy National Chairman (North), Sen. Lawali Shuaibu made this known yesterday.
He spoke in a chat with newsmen at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.
Shuaibu disclosed that the next meeting will have only eight persons in attendance.
President Buhari will be represented by his deputy, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.
Shuaibu, is the representative of the APC National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, while the third person on the team is Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami SAN.
DAILY POST gathered that the nPDP team would have the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, House of Reps Speaker, Yakubu Dogara, Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, former Kano governor, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso and former nPDP chairman, Kawu Baraje
Confirming the meeting, Shuaibu said while Monday’s meeting which had in attendance twenty former nPDP members “dwelt on general discussions, the next meeting scheduled for next Monday will go into the business of discussing the [former nPDP] specific demands,” Shuaibu said.
The meeting is expected to hold at same venue of the last meeting in Aguda House.
Meanwhile, Saraki had denied that his trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT, was raised during Monday’s meeting.
