The Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, has reacted to the emergence of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole as the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
Oshiomhole emerged the national chairman of the APC at the last Saturday National Convention of the party in Abuja, after other contestants in the race, including former governor of the state, Prof. Osarhiemien Osunbor withdrew from the race.
The Oba in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Desmond Agbama said, “I received the good news with great joy and it is a victory well deserved, especially when viewed against the background of his successes and achievements as the National President of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC and former governor of Edo State.
“The Benin monarch pray that God and ancestors grant Oshiomhole wisdom, knowledge and good health to steer the leadership of APC well.”
