APC chairman caught on camera campaigning for AA candidate

Chairman of the Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ade Adetinmehin, has been caught on camera soliciting the support of electorate in Idanre local government area of Ondo State for the candidate of Ifedore/Idanre Federal Constituency on the platform of Action Alliance, Sunday Akinwalere.

The APC chairman, who was addressing the people of Idanre in Ondo dialect during a campaign rally ahead of the Saturday’s election, which had been postponed from the earlier scheduled date of 16th February, urged the people of the constituency to cast their vote for the AA candidate, stating the he is the choice of the party (APC).

According to Adetinmehin, he emphasized that Idanre has been for long marginalized, particularly that the town has never produced House of Representatives member.

Adetinmehin, a native of Idanre who spoke in Ondo dialect, said that “It’s our time in Idanre, Ifedore has done it for 16 years. Our support must go to our son who is from Idanre, Sunday Akinwalere, who is contesting under the AA party.

“On Saturday, vote enmass for him (Sunday Akinwalere). When he emerges victorious at the poll on Saturday, we will all move back to APC on Sunday.

“I appeal to my fathers and mothers here that for this to become a reality, it lies with you.”

However, DAILY POST had gathered that the APC candidate for the Ifedore/Idanre federal constituency, Bamidele Baderinwa who is currently representing the constituency at the National Assembly is from the same Idanre town with the APC Chairman.

It was also gathered that they have been no love lost between the APC Chairman and Baderinwa which was due to the alliance of the lawmaker with the Tinubu’s faction of APC in the state.

Recall that DAILY POST had reported that following the failure of the anointed candidates of the Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to secure tickets under the APC during its primaries held last year, they were directed by the governor to contest the election under the AA platform.
