The All Progressives Congress (APC) has expelled the Alhaji Ishola Balogun-Fulani-led Kwara State executive from the party.
The National Working Committee (NWC) approved the expulsion on Sunday.
The Balogun-Fulani led exco was sacked for conducting what was described as unapproved governorship primary in the state.
The development was communicated in a statement by APC spokesman, Yekini Nabena.
Former Majority Leader at Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Kayode Abdulwahab, had emerged governorship candidate of the sacked faction.
AbdulWahab polled 891 votes to beat other 12 contestants for the APC governorship ticket.
A total number of 1007 delegates participated in the governorship primary held at the factional state party secretariat, Onikanga road, GRA, Ilorin.
However, the statement reafiirmed that the NWC has also rescheduled governorship primaries in Ogun, Zamfara, Bauchi and Abia States to Monday.
It said: “Kwara State schedule of activities are scheduled as follows:
Monday October 1st, 2018 – House of Assembly Screening;
Tuesday October 2nd, 2018 – Senate Primary;
Wednesday October 3rd, 2018 – House of Representatives Primary:
Thursday October 4th, 2018 – Governorship Primary;
Friday October 5th, 2018 – House of Assembly Primary
Osun State schedule of activities are scheduled as follows;
Monday October 1st, 2018 to Tuesday, October 2nd, 2018 – House of Assembly Screening;
Wednesday October 3rd, 2018 – House of Assembly Primary;
Thursday October 4th, 2018 – House of Representatives Primary;
Friday October 5th, 2018 – Senate Primary.”
