The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Tuesday, warned the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against spreading falsehood, capable of causing anarchy through unfounded information about the election petition tribunal.
It warned that the PDP in the state was “gravitating towards creating anarchy in the community through a wickedly relentless propagation of lies, capable of destabilising the state.”
In a statement by the APC’s director of publicity, research and strategy in Osun, Mr Kunle Oyatomi, the party affirmed that “it was high time those charged with the responsibility to maintaining law and order in the state called the PDP to its senses and stop the party from stoking negative passions that could lead to anarchy.”
Some reports had claimed that the PDP’s standard bearer in the August 9, 2014 governorship poll, Senator Iyiola Omisore, would soon be sworn in as governor with the discovery of over 100,000 voided votes counted for APC’s flag bearer, Governor Rauf Aregbesola.
APC maintained that such development “was a close call to anarchy and a criminal action, which should be addressed by law-enforcement agencies in Osun.
