The Federal Government has directed the contractor handling the Apapa-Oshodi expressway to expedite action on the construction of the 450-capacity Trailer Park on the expressway.
Minister of Works, Mike Onolememen, who inspected the project over the weekend said this will enhance easy traffic flow on the axis.
While speaking, Onolememen said the contractor, Boroni Prono Nigeria Ltd has a deadline of 16 weeks to complete work on the Trailer Park located opposite Tin Can Port.
A statement by Tony Ikpasaja, his Media Adviser said “the traffic gridlock on Apapa_Oshodi expressway, especially around the sea ports is not only unacceptable, but also injurious to the nation’s economy.”
After years of neglect, the Federal Government last year began extensive work on the road which has been giving Lagosians tough times.
