Enyimba chairman, Felix Anyasi-Agwu has expressed hope that the club can repeat their feats of 2003 and 2004 and win this year’s CAF Champions League.
The People’s Elephants won the competition back-to-back in 2003 and 2004, but have failed to hit those heights ever since.
Enyimba have subsequently failed to go beyond the group stages or even progress past the preliminary stage.
“We have our target of course and we are already working hard towards it.
“We believe we will represent Nigeria well and do better than what we have done in recent seasons and that is our belief and target,” Anyansi-Agwu told Goal.
“There’s always pressure to win especially as we haven’t won it recently but we are used to the pressure. We just have to remain focused because we know there is pressure in everything in life.
“Living life itself is pressure because you are under pressure to do certain things but we are used to it and we will remain focused about what we want to do and do it the right way”, he added.
