Antonio Reyes: How Arsene Wenger reacted to death of former Arsenal star

Former Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has reacted to the death of ex-Gunners star, Jose Antonio Reyes.

Spanish club, Sevilla confirmed Reyes’ death in a car crash at the age of 35.

Reyes died in a tragic accident recorded at 1140 hours on the A-376 motorway, from Seville to Utrera on Saturday.

The former Real Madrid and Sevilla forward was on the books of Extremadura when he passed away.

He also played for Arsenal, Atlético Madrid and Benfica, and won the Europa League five teams with his Spanish clubs.

The news of his death left the footballing world in shock and many footballers.

Wenger, who signed Reyes in 2004 during his time at Arsenal, told beIN Sports: “I am devastated to hear the terrible news about Jose.”
