n explosion again rocked Kaduna metropolis on Monday afternoon, injuring three persons suspected to be the ones assembling the explosive. The blast also triggered pandemonium in the area as residents scampered for safety. The Nation gathered that the incident took place at about 1.30 pm at Ibrahim Rintiyi Street, Unguwan Magaji, close to the National Eye Centre on the outskirt of Kaduna metropolis, destroying about seven buildings around the house where it exploded. The sound of the blast which reportedly occurred when three men were assembling the explosive sent residents of the area and those living about one kilometre from the scene running in panic to the nearest army formation for safety. Police sources told The Nation that though no death was recorded, the three persons believed to be the occupants of the house at the time of the blast ran out of the building with serious injuries, but were apprehended by locals who promptly handed them over to the police.
