Youths in Onitsha, Anambra State on Monday went on rampage to protest the killing of a truck driver by a policeman.
Trouble started when a police man who was a part of an escort team in the area accused the truck driver of not parking properly thereby endangering the lives of other road users.
According to eyewitness an argument broke out between the policeman and the driver, adding that the officer shot and killed the victim.
As a result of the killing irate mobs including truck drivers took to the street to protest the death of their colleague.
The angry youths were seen burning tyres while the entrance leading to the company where the policeman worked was barricaded.
It took the timely intervention of the army in their armoured tanks to disperse the irate mob.
