The home-based teams of Angola and Nigeria played out a 1-1 draw in a friendly match in Pretoria, South Africa on Wednesday.
Both countries are fine-tuning preparations for the 2016 African Nations Championship, which begins next week.
Ikechukwu Ibenegbu scored from the spot in the 84th minute to give the Super Eagles the lead, after Ibrahim Salawu was fouled in the area.
However, Sunday Oliseh’s men could not hold on for a win, as Angola equalized two minutes from time from a corner kick.
Nigeria will take on Ivory Coast in another warm-up game on January 11, before they depart for Rwanda.
